Mission

Our mission is to foster creativity and collaboration among students. To instill empathy and develop a supportive community environment where all voices are heard and valued. We believe in the transformative power of theatre, and strive to create a safe space where all are welcome. We respect all people, and endeavor to be an accessible organization that removes barriers to engagement.

Our commitment is to instill a passion for life-long learning in those who come through our program. To provide an environment for growth amongst our students, school, and community at large.

Values

Opportunity

We provide students with the opportunity to learn and grow in the performing arts. To establish skills and practices that transcend the theatre and set them up for lifelong success.

Education

We promote the acquisition of foundational knowledge of performance and technical theatre. We emphasize critical thinking and workplace skills that allow students to excel.

Respect

We respect and recognize the many backgrounds, cultures, and identities that make up our community, and are committed to holding ourselves accountable to providing a space where everyone feels welcome onstage and off.

Expression

We seek to deliver to our audiences performances that entertain and express stories from across the emotional spectrum. To embrace many perspectives, foster belonging, and enhance human connection.

Collaboration

We prioritize inclusive practices, collaborating with a variety of professionals to foster diverse voices, talents and ideas.

Land Acknowledgement

We are making theatre magic happen on the ancestral home and unceded lands of the Kumeyaay, to who we extend our respect and gratitude. We honor The Kumeyaay Nation who have stewarded through generations the lands and waterways of what is now known as San Diego.
